I
There was once a Delphic God, divine,
In the chaos, he stood inbetwixt life—death
Gazing over our kind with a bit of awe and despair
Of those who follow the dead beyond their grave
II
I have set out to look for you
Across the universes
Desperate
Trying to catch even a wisp
Some constructive proof
That you exist
Give me a sign
Anything
So I can tear apart realities
To be one with you
III
Painting the heaven black
It's a portal, you declare
To where?
I wonder
What should I take along?
I ask
Would all these trinkets suffice,
That I've gathered all my life?
But then I look at you
All smiles
Oh darling, how you tempt me
Let's go then,
I take your hand
And we jump into the sky
IV
It is comforting
the way light alters
in the morning fog
V
I see my skin
Pruned with life
And the dirt it hides
Oh, the heinous crime
This madness
Of living a mortal life
The tragedy
Of an infinite mind
VI
I wonder
If I reveal the madness
That resides
In my soul
Would you run in fear
Or go fucking feral
With me
VII
Let's go back in time
When we dreamt about
Overtaking heavens
And killing gods
VIII
I bleed
And this damned hope
Stitches the wound
Preparing
Waiting...
IX
Read to me some poem,
Will you
It has been a long day,
Let the soothing words
Allow me to rest
In my decay
X
this morning I saw an evergreen
alive with flickering lights
my heart
for fireflies
moved in the morning dark
dipping in and out the tree
I couldn’t believe
as if in a fairytale
my soul
lost in time
is now awake
after a long frost
