Altars Of Madness
These are the stories of human emotions—of love, of war, of the thirst to explore this universe, or the desperation to find somewhere to call home. I borrowed the tale of Medusa from myths to sing her hymns and created Melena to write an epic. Human emotions are like a color palette, and I have used every shade I could find to let them bleed out as poetry, sewing them together in this book.
Welcome to the World of pure imagination.
Hark! There’s a world being built and rebuilt on the whims of the intoxication of creation, driven by a dream. Amidst the thumping of the heart, likened to thousands of stomping feet, pray, grow quiet, and open your eyes. Peer into the soul of this universe and be drunk in the euphoria of the magnificence of a grand cosmos finding expression at the hands of a dreamer, a creator, a woman of words. Saddle up! And embark upon the journey of madness, of breathtaking creation, and listen to the grandness echoing within. ¡El viaje!
About Maniksha
Maniksha is a poet, writer, and the author of “Altars of Madness.” She began writing poetry at a very young age. Having completed her Master’s in life sciences, she now works as a Biology teacher.
The study of nature has deeply influenced the themes of her poetry. Growing up, Maniksha listened to mythology as bedtime stories from her grandparents, which also left a significant imprint on her poetic themes. She hopes to write her next novel soon, that is, if she can manage to resist the allure of reading other people’s novels instead.
